How do I know if I qualify to be a real estate agent?

To be eligible for a Florida real estate sales associate license:
*You must be at least 18 years of age.
*You must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
*You must receive approval of your state application.
*You must complete and pass a state approved 63-hour course.  (With us of course!!)
*Pass the Florida real estate examination.
*You DO NOT need to be a Florida resident or a US citizen to qualify and obtain your Florida real estate license.

Do I have to have the fingerprints and application submitted BEFORE taking your course?

No, there is no requirement to have the state application and fingerprints submitted before taking a pre-licensing course.  However, the earlier you can accomplish these two things, the quicker you can schedule a state exam date.

With so many real estate schools in the Tampa Bay area offering classroom courses, why should I choose you?

I wish I had asked this question before choosing the school I did when I became a licensed real estate agent!  I chose a well known and popular real estate school for

my pre-license education and my experience was a horrible one!  The Instructor was there for a paycheck and not because of a passion for teaching.  He was more concerned with his current real estate business and not my future, for which I invested several hundred dollars.  I knew I could do better and I was not even licensed yet! Zenith is MY school, MY passion, and I teach every single class.  I am very much invested in YOUR success because YOUR success is also MY success.  I am not interested in becoming so large that I have multiple classroom locations with extra instructors.  I keep my class sizes to a minimum so that you won't get lost in a crowd and I can make sure that you understand the topics needed to pass the state exam. I am just as much invested as you are in your future!

I have submitted my application and my fingerprints...now what?

Now register for our course, of course!   After you successfully complete your course at Zenith, you must bring your course completion slip with you to the state exam.  To schedule your exam, contact the state testing vendor.  PearsonVUE has test locations throughout Florida and across the US. You can make an appointment online, or by calling (888) 204-6289. You will not be able to schedule an appointment for the state exam until you have passed the background check, application requirements AND have received the confirmation email from PersonVUE which contains your Candidate ID number to gain access to their website. The state exam is a 100 question multiple choice test with a passing score of 75%.  If you fail the licensing exam, you may retake it as many times as necessary, as soon as you can make a new appointment.

How do I get fingerprinted?

Appointments are scheduled with the state testing vendor, PearsonVUE.  This can be done online, Schedule Fingerprint Appointment Online  or by calling (877) 238-8232. The fee at PearsonVUE is approximately  $53.50.   You can find a list of FAQ's at the DBPR here .  A list of other approved fingerprint vendors in your area can also be found on this sheet .  If you live outside of Florida, you will need to submit by mail, a fingerprint card, in lieu of digital prints.

How do I submit an application for a Florida Real Estate Sales Associate license?

You can submit the application online by visiting Department of Business and Professional Regulation website.   You will need to create an account and apply using the Application for Sales Associate License Form # DBPR RE-1.  The state application fee approximately $39.75 and it will take approximately 2-4 weeks for the state to process and approve your application.  You can check the status of your application here.  You must submit your fingerprints electronically BEFORE your application can be approved.  The DBPR suggests getting your fingerprints made  5 days before submitting your application for licensing.
